SCALP
MASSAGES
Scalp massages are performed on the basis of insufficient
blood circulation which, as we have seen, does not cause
hair loss. Stiff muscles on the head, tight skin, or
a scalp "stuck to the skull" does not affect
blood circulation and in no way generates hair loss.
Scalp massages completely lack a scientific basis. There
are no recognized medical studies to back up scalp massages
and the practice is not performed by physicians.
Additionally, intense rubbing on the scalp typical
of this type of treatment can generate an opposite effect
by damaging the existing hair and accelerating its loss.
